The calciner is a treatment facility that uses heat and airflow to turn
liquid high-level waste into a solid. Liquid waste sprayed as a fine
mist into a heated chamber contains beads the size of coarse sand. The
chamber circulates the beads like an air popcorn popper, and the heat
evaporates the water from the liquid so it forms coatings on the beads.
The continued popcorn popper motion constantly chips the coatings off
the beads into flakes. The flakes then travel through transport tubes to
storage bins.
“A stable kiln production at a maximum production capacity
running at the lowest possible cost is what kiln inlet gas analysis is
really all about.”
The innovative KILN INLET is the only gas analysis sample probe on the
market capable of ensuring this - day after day, at a minimum of
maintenance and with an unprecedented high run factor. With the short
pay-back period regardless of kiln size, the KilnLoq probe becomes a
compulsory application for any cement plant.
"Safe clinker production at a maximum capacity at the lowest
possible cost is what preheater gas analysis is really all about."
The entire ASHOKA know-how in the process of producing clinker is used
in the configuration of a gas analysis system capable of providing a
level of safety that may be trusted. Working together with ASHOKA will
ensure that all machinery involved is linked and talking together. This
will provide real safety for plant personnel and machinery.
"The main objective achieved by emission gas analysis is to
document the concentration of various gasses as they leave the stack."
Experience from all parts of the world shows a growing demand for
reporting of emission values from the cement industries. Previously,
stack emission analysis was often only considered to be a measurement
dictated to satisfy local legislation demand. Today however, a large
portion of the industry imposes its own even stricter standard as a part
of a sustainability program. The measurement of stack emission will in
most countries be a demand if waste is burned in the kiln as part of the
quest to reduce production cost.
